Hornchurch Country Park

This large country park is on the site of the former RAF Hornchurch base which was used during the First and Second World Wars.The play area includes a model Spitfire which is used as climbing equipment. The Essex Wildlife Trust visitor centre on site is open daily from 9am – 5pm. Older children might enjoy the outdoor gym and ‘trim-trail’ which extends throughout the park. There is a car park at Squadrons Approach, and a second, smaller one off of South End Road at Albyns Farm.
