St Elphins Park
St. Elphin’s is a wonderful community park providing facilities for all age groups. Two beautifully maintained Crown Bowling Greens, tots and teens play areas and an outdoor adult gym are always available. There is a Sensory Garden for quiet contemplation, reading or just day-dreaming – a great spot to eat a packed lunch on a sunny day!
A Green Flag Award winning park since 2017 with an active Friends Group who organise various activities and fun days in the park and also operate The Pavilion Tea Rooms, providing Home-made cakes, light lunches, snacks and a range of drinks.
Watch out for events in St. Elphin’s, monthly Dig With Dave Days – Ranger Dave working with volunteers of all ages to improve our park whilst having fun – building bird and bug houses, planting hanging baskets, bird feeders and Halloween lanterns all fit into the plans.
The biggest party in the park is the annual Spooky Park which takes place at Halloween (usually closest Saturday). Lots of family fun and entertainment in a safe, if a bit scarey, environment.
Come and see us in the park. Tea Rooms open on Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (later if the weather is good).
