Southwater dinosaur island playground
A brilliant well equipped dinosaur themed adventure playground.
There’s hours of entertainment here! The brilliant playground offers fun and challenging equipment for the young ones while the wider park has different areas set within pleasant woodland.
With Parking, cafe, toilets, boating lake (open at certain times of year), a skate park, water sports and remote control boating lake, wild swimming, and even fishing (with permit and licence) there’s something for the whole family!

Be daring and experience the thrills of Dinosaur Island children’s play area; Grab a bite to eat at the cafe;
Go on a really long bike or horse ride along the Downs Link bridleway from coast to countryside. You can even hire a bike here; Orienteering is a fun way to explore without getting lost! You can run, jog or walk our course;
Enjoy a watersports adventure on the lake; canoeing, kayaking, and sailing. Book a lesson or ask about bringing your own;
Spend a day paddling at our lakeside beach with barbecue areas, perfect for picnics;
Grab your skateboard and ride the skate park; Ready for a real challenge?…. have a go at triathlon training;
Become a volunteer and help our wardens with conservation tasks.

Opening Times
Country Park including car parks and toilets open every day 8am to 8pm or dusk whichever is earlier. Café and visitor centre: 10am to 4pm.
Beach information:
Horsham District Council DO NOT allow swimming from the beach
If you choose to paddle, please notei:
Lifeguards are not present in the area
Children must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian
Do not enter the water further than waist hight
Do not enter the water with any cuts or abrasions
Wear footwear for protection
The water quality is variable. If you feel unwell after entering the water, please contact your docter
BBQ safety information
Barbeques are permitted using the stands provided.
Take care with naked flames and never leave them unattended.
Dispose of hot ashes in the designated BBQ bin only

FISHING BY PERMIT ONLY

Adults – £5.00
Under 16’s – £2.50
A valid Environment Agency rod licence must be presented prior to a permit being issued
Anyone found fishing without a valid permit will be asked to leave the Country Park
