Pangbourne Recreation Ground Play Area
Pangbourne Recreation Ground is a large green space covering approximately 8 acre’s, it is very close to the River Thames to north.
In the north corner of the recreational ground is a small but well equipped playground with lots of modern play equipment and a rubberised bark flooring. Including swings, rope swing, a climbing frames for toddlers and older children, a witches hat, rockers, a play boat, monkey bars and a fireman’s pole. Outside the fenced playground there is a large playing field which is great for ball games, frisby or kites and has a zip wire, basketball and football nets, tennis courts and a nice walk along the River Thames if you fancy it too!
There is free parking available at the Recreation Ground itself which is accessible via a narrow (almost hidden) access road at the end of Thames Avenue (gates open 8am – 8pm). Here there is toilet facilities which are open between 8am-6pm. Alternatively there is a Pay and Display car park nearby if needed just off the Whitchurch Road B471 .
We went after torrential rain and the playing fields were very water logged!
