Loyd Recreation Park Play Area
Renovations are complete! Thanks to a £50,000 grand from WREN to supply and install new play equipment with safety surfacing at Loyd Rec play area in Brasenose Road, Didcot.
Joe Newby, WREN’s grant manager for Oxfordshire, says: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Loyd Recreational Play Area project and pleased our funding will provide such a fantastic facility for children and young families across Didcot. WREN is always happy to consider grant applications for projects that make a difference to local communities and we’re really looking forward to seeing this one take shape soon.”
Conservative Councillor Alan Thompson hopes the new play area will be ready to use before the end of October 2015.

This is a lovely park with a small play structure for small kids and a larger one plus zip wire for bigger kids. There are benches inside the park and just the other side of the railings under the trees. Nice spot for a break on our way to the shops as well as being a pleasant destination in it’s own right.
Great playground for little and older children. I was there with my daughter today after long time and we both had a really good time.:-)
