Gloucester Park Play Area

Gloucester Park is a busy and popular 11 hectare open space located close to the city centre and is the city’s biggest park.

Formerly part of the 1815 Spa Pleasure Grounds, Gloucester Park was created by the City Corporation in 1848 and further extended to its current size in 1862. Located in a conservation area, the park contains many historic features, including statues of Robert Raikes and Queen Anne.

The park hosts many events throughout the year, culminating in the Gloucester Summer Festival, carnival, funfair and fireworks, a lively 2 week programme of music, events and activities held in late July/early August every year.
