Branksome Recreation Ground Play Area
Branksome Recreation Ground is a large green space covering approximately 22 acres and is accessible from the aptly name Recreation Road in the Rossmore Area of Poole in-between Poole and Bournemouth.
In the middle of the Southern edge is a relatively small fenced off playground with a good range of play equipment including junior and toddler swings, a multi-person springy see-saw, a small spinner bowl, a new modern climbing frame complete with climbing walls, chill out seats, a spinner outrigger, a high slide and trapeze rings (monkey bars) with a rubberised surface and a simulator chair which is a rocking, rotating seat.
The tarmac surface has been painted with early learning games like snakes and ladders for younger children.
Outside of the fenced play area is a 3 meter high climbing wall that comprises four separate climbing boulders, two of which are linked by a spiders web climbing net. It is installed into an area of rubber surfacing, and is suitable for use by anyone over 6 years of age.
The playground was refurbished in May 2015, with new equipment added, old equipment freshly painted and the ground jet washed in places.
