Bourne Valley Park Play Area
Near Parkstone in Poole is the Bourne Valley Park Play Area it is a large and recently built playground for children of all ages and was opened on 15th October 2011. The Bourne Valley Action Group made a successful lottery bid supported by Groundwork UK and the Poole Housing Partnership Reinvestment Panel to raise the funds to create this wonderful playground.
In 2014 more young child and toddler play equipment was installed including a cradle swing with two seats, a toddler slide and a four seat turtle springer. Other play equipment that can found found here is a Zip wire, wheelchair friendly roundabout, two 4 metre climbing nets with link bridge, a nest/buddy swing, a rope end swing, combination swings, climbing nets, a climbing whirl/ witches hat, a cable way, trapeze walk , monkey bars, cradle swings, a toddler slide, a four seat springer, seating and picnic tables.
01 October 2015 – A Skate park is being built at the northern end of the play are this new area will be suitable for use by skateboards, micro scooters, inline skaters and BMX bikes.
