Salcey forest Playground
Ideal for a family day out and a picnic, there are lovely walks through the dense forest and an great playground mostly constructed of wood and is suitable for children of all ages.
There is a Tree Top Way which rises to 15 metres above the woodland floor, it has a crow’s nest platforms that are 20 metres high and reached by steps, It offers stunning views across Salcey Forest and the adjoining woodlands of Yardley Chase providing you with a totally different perspective almost a bird’s eye-view. If you feel it wobble and bounce, don’t worry, it is designed that way! It is also accessible for wheelchairs at 1.5 metres wide, with a gradient of just under 1:10, and there are resting points every 24 metres.
