Rye Recreation Ground Play Area
Rye Recreation Ground is located to the East of the town and is next to the River Rother, it is a large public green space cover approximately 7 Acres. Behind the Bowling Club is located this children’s playground, there is a good variety of playground equipment for all ages of children so toddlers, teenagers and younger children all have something to keep them occupied including toddler swings, a see-saw, spring rockers, a multi-person serpent swing, spring roundabout, small and large climbing frames, skateboard arc and a spinning hanging swing.
The play area is fencing on all sides with a gated entrance and exit, the flooring is mostly grass with a safe and soft rubberised surface surrounding all the playground equipment. Most of the equipment is well maintenance with a few item broken or missing, it is kept clean and tidy and the grass regularly mowed.
The nearby car parking is Pay and Display and the charges are reasonable for its location, there are public toilets available here also.
The two large green fields adjacent to the playground are perfect for picnics, ball games, frisbee, kite flying and general running about.
