Hi There,
Just wondering what the “ruling” is with regards to the responsible use of bbq’s (portable or otherwise) if used on either grass or a hard surface area?
Any guidance would be very much appreciated.
Sadly there are insufficient Council staff to keep a bowling green in playing order so we have regretfully had to let them go. The once popular bowling pavilion was wrecked by vandals and there were insufficient bowling enthusiasts to keep them at bay. The greens were being played on by footballers and so we agreed with the Council to convert them into five a side pitches and they get regular use as a result. Responsible footballers discourage vandals from doing damage so it is a positive move all round. If ever the funding returns we would very much like to bring a crown green bowling green back into Lilford Park.
Why no bowling green? There is a big interest in crown green and flat green bowling, so please rethink.
