Islip Playground

This play park is of mostly wooden construction and has something for all aged children, it is surrounded by wooden fencing with a gated entrance and exit and is ideal for young children and toddlers. The younger ones will enjoy the small slide with easy steps to climb up and the large wooden Viking ship play boat. Older children can zip down the zip wire and climb the larger slides. Other play equipment includes swings, climbing frames and a roundabout. There is also have a couple of carved wooden Viking sculptures to complete the Viking theme. The large adjacent field is perfect for ball games, Frisbee, kite flying, running about and picnics etc. The playground flooring is mostly grass with bark chippings under some of the play equipment helping soften the occasional trip or tumble.

There are plenty of benches around the park and a picnic table if you’re stopping for a bite to eat and ample parking is available in the adjacent Islip village hall car park.
