Gheluvelt Park Play Area
Located on the outskirts of Worcester city centre, this park crosses Barbourne Brook and has two distinct areas – a formal park to the east, and an informal area managed for wildlife conservation to the west, next to the River Severn. The playground has separate areas for younger and older children.
Teenagers might enjoy the outdoor gym equipment which is arranged in a circuit around the perimeter to the west of the park. Equipment includes Leg Press, Triple Pull Up, Space Walker, Sit Up benches, Surfer, Pull Down Exerciser and Chest Press. There are two outdoor table tennis tables available in the park, the tables are free to use, however you will need to bring your own bats and balls.
Gheluvelt Splashpad water play feature is located in the formal park area, it is open April to September (closed October to March). The park has a lake with an island bandstand and memorial sculpture and garden to the fallen Soldiers of the Worcestershire Regiment.
There is parking by the main entrance on the A449 Barbourne Road and also the side entrance on Waterworks Road.
