Dilhorne Recreation and Community Centre Trust

This children’s play area is part of the Dilhorne Recreation & Community Centre Trust and publicly accessible. The recently renovated site, at New Road in Dilhorne, saw phase one of the project commence on Monday 16th March 2015 when work began by Sculptor Anthony Hammond to renovate a lightning stricken tree stump. Mr Hammond sculpted a unique 3D design which pays tribute to the mining history of the area.  Phase two of the transformation saw the removal of all existing Playground equipment and the supply and installation of new safer, more accessible apparatus as and improved safety surfacing.
