Ardley and Fewcott Playing Field and Playground
In the southern corner of a large public green space just off the B430 in Ardley and Fewcott village is this wonderful and large play area associated with the Ardley and Fewcott Community Hall, it is surrounded with wooden fencing with gated entrance and exit.
Benefiting from a Lottery grant of £49,999 and £10,000 from Cherwell District Council, Ardley now has a gem of a play park next to Ardley Community Hall with a large free car park.
There are two separate play structures one younger children and one for the old ones. There is a variety of activities and play equipment, including a zip wire, a trampoline set into the ground, see-saw, picnic tables. The large adjacent field has football goals and is perfect for ball games, running about and picnics. The climbing frame has easy steps, a slide and is surrounded by sand which is also great to play in. The picnic tables nearby mean parents can sit back and relax. The playground flooring is a mix of grass, wood chippings and sand.
